USMID Kitgum Road Project

The USMID Kitgum Road Project is a landmark initiative under the Uganda Support to Municipal Infrastructure Development (USMID) Program, funded by the World Bank. This project is designed to enhance urban mobility, improve safety, and stimulate economic growth in Kitgum Municipal Council. With a focus on modern, sustainable infrastructure, the project covers consultancy services and supervision for the construction of key infrastructure subprojects within Cluster I. These include Omany Ogaba A, Omany Ogaba B, Lamola, and Lagoro, with a total of 2.87 kilometers of AC14 asphalt concrete roads and integrated ancillary works.

The project’s primary scope includes constructing high-quality AC14 asphalt concrete roads that meet international standards. The inclusion of ancillary works, such as advanced solar-powered street lighting, ensures enhanced safety, security, and usability of these roads, even during nighttime.
