Kidepo International Airport Design

Project Overview:

The Kidepo Airport Design Project was set to be a transformative development for the region. Located in Lomej, approximately 3 kilometers south of the headquarters of Kidepo Valley National Park and 456 kilometers northeast of Entebbe International Airport, this new airport significantly enhanced connectivity and accessibility to one of Uganda’s prime tourist destinations.

Upon completion, Kidepo Airport featured a 3,500-meter runway designed to accommodate large aircraft, including the Boeing B777. This capability supported a wide range of international flights and contributed to the overall expansion of Uganda’s aviation sector.
